1. Scope
This Privacy Policy covers the web properties of Split-Dose Records: the public site at splitdoserecords.com, individual release pages, and the label’s private studio (a gated, invitation-only production tool). Split-Dose Records is an independent music label releasing recordings from its catalog and affiliated artists. This policy does not cover third-party services you reach by leaving these properties — each of those has its own privacy policy (see Section 4).
2. Information We Collect
These properties are deliberately minimal. The public site has no user accounts, no sign-up forms, and no advertising or tracking pixels. In practice, that means:
- Server & hosting logs. The properties are hosted on Vercel. Like virtually all web hosts, Vercel automatically records standard technical request data — such as IP address, browser type and user-agent, referring page, requested URLs, and timestamps — for security, reliability, and basic aggregate analytics. This is handled by Vercel under its own policies.
- Studio sign-in. The private studio uses a passwordless email “magic link” to verify the operator, provided by Supabase. If you sign in, your email address and session are processed to authenticate you and to sync your studio state. The studio is invitation-only and is not a public service.
- Email you send us. If you email hello@splitdoserecords.com — for example, a rights or takedown request — we receive the content of your message, your email address, and anything you choose to include. We only receive this because you chose to write to us.
- No sensitive data. We do not ask for, and these properties do not collect, payment details, health information, precise location, or any special-category personal data.
3. Cookies
The public site sets no cookies of its own and uses no on-site analytics, advertising, or cross-site tracking cookies. The private studio sets a single strictly-necessary session cookie so that a signed-in session persists — it performs no tracking. Our hosting and infrastructure providers may set strictly-necessary or security-related cookies to operate and protect the service. Because there is no tracking to opt into, there is no cookie-consent banner. You can also block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings.
4. Third-Party Services
These properties rely on a small number of third parties. When you interact with them, their own privacy policies apply:
- Vercel — hosting and content delivery. Vercel processes the standard request logs described above.
- Supabase — passwordless sign-in and state sync for the private studio only.
- Google Fonts — the properties load typefaces from Google’s font service, which may receive your IP address and request data when your browser fetches the fonts.
- DistroKid, Spotify & Apple Music — distribution and streaming. Once you follow a link off-site to a streaming platform, you are subject to that platform’s privacy policy and terms, not this one.
We do not control these third parties and are not responsible for their practices. Review their policies to understand how they handle your data.
5. How We Use Information
We use the limited information described above only to:
- Operate, secure, and maintain the properties, and diagnose technical problems;
- Authenticate the operator’s private-studio session and synchronize studio state;
- Respond to messages you send us — including rights, takedown, and general contact requests;
- Understand basic, aggregate traffic patterns (for example, roughly how many visits a page receives).
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it for behavioral advertising, and we do not build marketing profiles.
6. Data Retention
Hosting and server logs are retained only as long as our providers’ standard practices allow, then rotated out. Studio session data persists only while a session is active or as needed to keep the operator signed in. Emails you send to hello@splitdoserecords.com are kept only as long as needed to handle your request and to maintain a reasonable record of rights or takedown matters, after which they may be deleted. We keep no other personal information.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you live — including under the EU/UK GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) — you may have rights to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you;
- Request correction of inaccurate information;
- Request deletion of your information;
- Object to or restrict certain processing;
- Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
Because these properties collect so little, in most cases the only personal information we hold is an email you sent us. To exercise any right, email hello@splitdoserecords.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
8. Children’s Privacy
These properties are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact hello@splitdoserecords.com and we will delete it.
9. International Users
The properties are operated from the United States, and their hosting infrastructure may process and store data in the United States and other countries. If you access the properties from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions whose data-protection laws may differ from those where you live.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected here; continued use of the properties after an update means you accept the revised policy.
11. Contact
Questions about this policy, or a privacy request, can go to hello@splitdoserecords.com. This is also the address for rights and takedown notices.
